New analysis claims that the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 ten years ago has been solved based on the plane’s last two satellite communications.
A scientist analyzed the flight path of MH370 using the plane’s last satellite communications in a paper published in a journal.
The paper by Dr. Lyne challenges the notion that the plane made a rapid dive after running out of fuel.
Instead, he claims that the plane most likely made an eastward descent. This suggests that the disappearance of MH370 was premeditated.
Dr. Lyne stated that the paper provided a new perspective on the disappearance of MH370, shifting the narrative from one of no-blame to one of deliberate sabotage.
He also claims that the plane’s pilot almost executed a perfect disappearance.
He also noted that the actions of MH370, such as the plane’s plowing through a wave, could have been prevented if it had not been for the satellite communications that were discovered by Inmarsat.
Dr. Lyne claims that the damage to the plane’s wings and flaperon could have been similar to the actions of Captain Sully when he intentionally flew US Airways Flight 1549 to the Hudson River in January 2009.
This conclusion supports the claim made by Larry Vance, a former chief of Canada’s Air-crash Investigation, that the plane had both engines running and fuel in its last moments.
He was also the one who analyzed the debris field.
Dr. Lyne stated that the new analysis provided a more direct path to the crash site of MH370, and he urged authorities to search for the wreckage in a specific area of the Southern Indian Ocean.
In a LinkedIn post, he noted that the plane most likely crashed in the area where the runway of Penang International Airport intersects the home flight simulator of the FBI.
The location where the plane most likely crashed is in a region of the ocean that is known for its rough and dangerous environment.
It is also filled with fine sediments, which makes it an ideal hiding place. Dr. Lyne said that he is relieved that the families of those who were on board MH370 can finally get some closure.
Hopefully, the authorities will eventually be able to accept the new analysis and conclude that the plane’s disappearance was carefully planned.
However, it is still hard to believe that the pilots could have intentionally diverted the plane.
The families of the passengers have also demanded answers.
They asked the government of Malaysia to launch a new search for the missing plane.
