A teacher has criticized parents for sending their kids to kindergarten even though they’re not trained to use the toilet.

In a TikTok video, the teacher, who goes by the name Ms Third Grade, said she was shocked by how many students still use nappies.

She was also worried about the smell of the classroom. According to her, she had no idea how many kids were still using nappies in school.

She was stunned by the number of kindergarten students who reportedly use diapers.

Although she wasn’t referring to individuals with disabilities, Ms Third Grade was making a point about the prevalence of kids still using nappies.

She showed her story time in front of a whiteboard and said that parents don’t have to train their kids to use the toilet before sending them to school.

When her kids went to school, Ms Third Grade said she remembered how kids had to be trained to use the toilet before they could start going to kindergarten.

She then asked why this rule had changed.

Most of Australia’s states do not require kids to be toilet trained, but it’s still preferred.

The Education Department encourages parents to teach their kids hygiene and self-care practices and also recognizes that students will have varying levels of education.

In its Hello Kindergarten guide, the agency suggests helping kids toilet-proof themselves by giving them practice doing their clothes, using the restroom, and washing their hands alone.

The guide also encourages parents to develop their kids’ existing skills in order to promote their participation and independence.
