A couple of weeks after an earthquake in the state, another tremor was felt in Victoria on Thursday morning.
The earthquake, which had a depth of around three kilometers, occurred at Hamilton, in southwest Victoria.
The State Emergency Service (SES) said it did not receive any reports of damage.
One resident from Hamilton said she felt her bedroom window moving.
Another resident said that the earthquake woke them up.
On Monday, a 3.0-magnitude earthquake hit Sandy Point, which is near Wilsons Promontory, at a depth of around 10 kilometers.
These two seismic activities occurred just weeks after a larger earthquake of 4.1 magnitude jolted the state on August 7.
According to Phil Cummins, a seismologist from Geoscience Australia, the tremor that hit Woods Point, which is located east of Melbourne, was a result of the September 2021 earthquake that had a magnitude of 5.9.
