A man died after he was pulled from the water at Rye Pier on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne this afternoon.
According to police, the man, who was not seen for around 30 minutes, entered the water at around 2.45pm.
An air wing was then called to help search for him.
He was eventually recovered by divers at around 3.15pm.
Although CPR was performed on him, he passed away at the scene.
The police are yet to release his name.
