The city of Perth has officially welcomed spring, with the Bureau of Meteorology reporting that the city will experience sunny weather throughout the week.
Meteorologist Joey Rawson said that the heat will be pushed up the west coast, and temperatures will reach 27 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.
According to the BOM’s seven-day forecast, which is valid until Sunday, most of the week will feature sunny skies and high temperatures of 25 degrees or greater.
The exception will be on Sunday, when the temperature will reach a high of 23 degrees.
The mercury will reach 27 degrees on Thursday and Friday, and 26 degrees on Saturday.
Sunny weather is expected to continue throughout the week, with temperatures reaching 25 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday.
In WA, the temperature at Fitzroy Crossing is predicted to reach 40 degrees, while Halls Creek is expected to reach 37 degrees.
Geraldton is also expected to experience a sunny week, with temperatures reaching 30 degrees on Friday.
Most of the warmth will be lost to the southwest due to the easterly winds.
Showers are likely to occur in the Albany area throughout the week.
