A strange incident occurred inside a Woolworths store in Australia.
Customers and staff members witnessed two dogs running around freely inside the store.
A photo of the two pets shows them sitting on a trolley, and some people reported that the animals were tearing through the aisle.
The photo, which was shared by a community group, has caused a rift in the residents of NSW, where the incident occurred in the town of Ballina.
While most people were amused by the sight, others were more concerned with the hygiene of the food being stored in the trolley.
One person called it disgusting and said that they should get a good scrubbing before using the trolleys again. Others said that people are more likely to be dirty than dogs.
However, many people commended the staff members for helping the animals.
One person stated that she would rather use a trolley than a putrid person after a dog has been in it. Other people said they witnessed the incident while they were inside the store.
One of the customers claimed that the dogs were chasing two staff members.
The posters claim that the owners were nowhere to be seen, and a ranger was dispatched to retrieve them.
It’s widely believed that customers are not allowed to bring pets into the store, and only assistance animals are permitted.
According to Australian law, service animals and guide dogs are allowed inside stores.
But, a spokesperson for the company noted that they do not allow other animals or pets to enter the premises.
A spokesperson for Coles confirmed the same policy after a customer was seen with their pet in a checkout last year.
This comes as Australians debate if dogs should be permitted to shop at Bunnings.

Never mind about dogs in shopping trolleys somehow contaminating them…Trolleys are never cleaned anyway and often have decaying spillage remnants in them which can be from foodstuffs and various chemicals also sold in the supermarkets.
