Three years after Cleo Smith was abducted from a campsite in Western Australia, her family has released a heartwarming update.

According to her mother Ellie, her daughter was able to achieve gold at a gymnastics competition.

The footage of her achievement was shown on Nine’s 60 Minutes.

The photos show Cleo wearing a stunning blue and silver gymnastics costume with her hair in long braids.

She also posed with her gold medal and certificate of participation.

In another video, Cleo is seen performing a gymnastics routine. She balances on a beam and then jumps off before landing on a mat.

The caption accompanying the post stated that the seven-year-old won gold in her first competition.

Over 300 people commented on the video and shared their congratulations.

Many of them expressed their happiness at how Cleo has been adjusting to her life following her ordeal.

One person stated that they were glad to see Cleo doing so well and expressed their excitement at her achievement.

On October 16, 2021, news of Cleo’s kidnapping spread across Australia and around the world.

She was abducted by Terence Kelly while she was at a campsite near Carnarvon, which is about 10 hours away from Perth.

The incident prompted a massive sea and land search in Western Australia.

After 18 days, Cleo was found on November 3, 2019, in the house of Kelly in Carnarvon, which was about 10 minutes from her family’s home.

Her kidnapper, who was 37 years old at that time, was sentenced to spend 13 years in jail.
