Joel Pringle, a prominent Instagram influencer from Queensland, was last seen in August.
He was with his partner, Eve Houghton, in the Whitsundays when he disappeared.
His body was discovered in Cannonvale, near Airlie Beach, earlier this week.
Houghton told 7News that she was worried when she didn’T hear from Pringle after she tried to plan his 40th birthday.
The police and other concerned individuals carried out a massive search following his disappearance, focusing on a national park in Conway.
According to investigators, the phone of Pringle’s dad was found in the park the morning after he disappeared.
Despite the extensive efforts made by the authorities and the public, Pringle’s body was found on Tuesday evening.
Houghton posted a message on her Facebook page to share the news about her partner’s death. She also thanked the people who helped in the search.
We are so grateful to the SES, water police, and local businesses for displaying posters and flyers, as well as the police for their efforts in the search.
“Your kindness and support will be treasured by Joel’s family and close friends during this difficult time,” she wrote.
The Queensland Police confirmed that Pringle’s body had been found. His death was not suspicious, and a report will be submitted to the coroner.
His death has prompted many people to leave tributes on his Instagram page.
The 40-year-old influencer frequently posted about the perks of being a digital nomad and starting a business.
In May, he revealed that he and Houghton had purchased a property in the Whitsundays. It was described as their “dream” block of land.
