Triple M has decided to replace its top-rated drivetime program in Adelaide with a syndicated Melbourne show.
The hosts of the Rush Hour, Greg Blewett, Andrew Jarman, and Bernie Vince, were informed of the program’s termination on Tuesday.
It is believed that the new show will be presented by Billy Brownless and James Brayshaw.
The Rush Hour has been hosted by the trio since 2021.
In the most recent ratings, it was able to take the top spot in the timeslot, ahead of the sports show of FIVEaa, which featured Tim Ginever and Stephen Rowe.
On Wednesday, Blewett, who is a retired Australian cricketer, said that he was shocked by the news.
According to the cricket commentator, the decision to terminate the program makes no sense since it was doing well.
He noted that the network had to make a business decision based on the ratings.
The Rush Hour will be off-air until the end of the week.
It will then return on Monday for a week before it resumes in November.
The future of the trio’s radio careers remains unclear, especially regarding Jarman, who recently celebrated his 21st year with Triple M.
A spokesperson for Southern Cross Austereo confirmed that The Rush Hour would be concluding in 2024.
