In an interview with Sharyl Attkisson, Trump said that if he loses in November, he would not seek another term as president in 2028.
He noted that he doesn’t think there will be another campaign in the future.
Trump’s political career started after he defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
He lost his bid for re-election in 2020 and is now facing off against Kamala Harris, the California senator and the vice president.
In 2028, Trump will turn 82 years old.
The presidential race’s age factor dominated the headlines when he was set to face off against Joe Biden, who was then 81 years old.
But, in July, Biden decided to withdraw from the race due to concerns about his health.
