Pauline Hanson reaffirmed her position on Wednesday regarding her opposition to Welcome to Country events.
She told Chris Kenny on Sky News that she was sick of hearing about the ceremonies and that they were divisive.
Last week, Ms. Hanson called on Australians to ignore the ceremonies and turn their backs on them.
This came after Brendan Kerin, an Aboriginal elder, delivered a welcome to country speech during the match between the Brisbane Lions and the GWS Giants.
Before the match, Kerin explained that the welcome to country ceremony is not a function designed to cater to white people.
Instead, it’s an indigenous tradition that has been happening for over 250,000 years.
Ms. Hanson, who was born in Australia, questioned why she had to pay attention to the elders.
During her interview, Pauline Hanson said that the welcome to country ceremony was tokenistic and noted that the tribes in Australia would not welcome one another.
According to Kenny, Ms. Hanson had completely misunderstood what Kerin had said.
The purpose of the ceremony is to welcome everyone to various areas of the country.
According to Ms. Hanson, she has heard from numerous corporations and individuals who have expressed their anger at the ceremonies.
Although she supports the idea of holding the welcome to country ceremony at Aboriginal conventions, she stated that she would not support it in parliament.

Pauline. I applaud you! You are one of the few politicians who speak out and state so strongly your truth. I wish there were more like you! Chris Kenny is the one who has it all wrong.! His opinion was vastly different from the majority of people.
Also Chris, when interviewing, you interrupt far too much, it is very annoying!!
The Welcome to Country has become a pain in the neck. This country is going downhill fast. We must vote this weak, inept pathetic Albanese and Labor Australia out at next election.
