After more than 50 years in Melbourne, International Cakes, a family-owned business that specializes in Greek pastries, is set to close its doors this month.
The establishment was first established in 1973 in Lonsdale Street.
Its co-owner, Bill Batz, grew up in Greece and developed his love for pastry-making.
The bakery’s co-owners, Manolis Yovanoglou and Batzogiannis, announced the decision to retire the apron on their Facebook page.
They thanked their customers for their loyal support and said it was an honor to serve them.
