According to a royal insider, Meghan Markle called herself one of the most bullied individuals, but she was also reminded to remember the insulting words she used to refer to Kate.
The Duchess of Sussex spoke with teenagers about her experience being bullied as she visited a local organization for girls earlier this month.
Larissa May, the founder of Girl Inc., revealed during an interview with Vanity fair that the Duchess of Sussex called herself one the most bullied individual in the world.
This caused a mixed reaction from the media. Jennie Bond, a former royal correspondent for the BBC, said that she didn’t think that the statement was accurate.
According to Ms. Bond, the Duchess of Sussex isn’t the first royal to experience bullying.
She noted that people shouldn’t have to read upsetting and degrading messages like these at any point in their lives.
The former royal correspondent also noted that the online abuse aimed at the Princess of Wales, who is currently going through cancer treatment, was very cruel.
Even though Kate’s video caused people to react in a more positive manner, Ms. Bond noted that the internet still has a lot of hate for the royal family.
She said that the Duchess of Sussex is not the only one who has experienced abusive online behavior.
While it was difficult for me to watch, I can’t imagine what it must have felt like to go through this experience.
According to reports, Prince William and Kate were not pleased with how Meghan referred to them during an interview.
A friend of the couple noted that calling the Princess of Wales “Kate” was “bloody rude” of Meghan.
