Lewis Stevenson, a British influencer, died after he fell from the La Mancha Bridge in Spain while trying to take a photo.
He had been climbing for several years and was warned not to do so, but he persisted. The 192-meter bridge was one of the highest in the country.
According to his grandfather, Clifford Stevenson, the family tried to discourage Lewis from doing anything that he wanted to do, but he persisted.
He was an avid adventurer who did what he wanted to do for the sake of his own pleasure. Clifford noted that Lewis did not get paid for what he did.
On his social media platforms, Lewis posted photos of himself engaging in various dangerous activities.
One of these included a series of stunts that involved climbing a building in New York and resting on a metal beam. One of his most recent actions was a performance known as rooftopping, which took place on October 3 at the Nottingham Forest.
The Daily Mail reported that Lewis was with a 24-year-old friend when he fell from the bridge. It is believed that the two were about a quarter of the way up the structure when Lewis lost his grip.
A local official stated that access to the bridge was banned following his death. His body was recovered at around 7 am on Sunday.
Macarena Munoz, a representative of the Citizen Security Committee, confirmed that a man from England died after falling from the bridge. He was 26 years old.
The council of Talavera de La Reina stated that such activities are prohibited and that it has repeatedly emphasized this point to the public.
The condolences that Lewis’ friends and followers sent his way were overwhelming.
