A tribute to Australian Olympic dancer Rachael “Raygun” Gunn has been erected in Melbourne.
She became an international sensation after failing to secure a single point during the first-ever breakdancing event at the Olympics in Paris in August.
Since her failure at the Olympics caught the attention of the world, a statue of her was erected in Melbourne.
A caller informed 3AW’s listeners that Raygun had started dancing in the streets following her success in Paris.
The caller informed the hosts of the show that a statue of Raygun had been erected in the city.
Ross Stevenson was thrilled by the statue’s appearance, and he noted that it was placed on a nature strip.
It’s not the only statue of Raygun that’s appeared in recent days. In September, Raygun came back to her home country after the Olympics.
