Just two months after she left her position as the co-host of Sunrise, Samantha Armytage has signed a deal with Channel 9.
She will be presenting the new series The Golden Bachelor.
The announcement was made during the network’s Upfronts held in Sydney.
At the event, which was held at Carriageworks, Armytage was present and posed for photos with the media. There have been speculations that she had signed with the Nine Network since September.
Today’s announcement is the first confirmation of her involvement with the company.
The Golden Bachelor will be released in 2025. According to the network, it will be a love story that explores the best love stories that can happen later in life.
It premiered in the US last year and was able to establish a ratings success for ABC. The series’ September finale was able to reach 6.1 million viewers.
An official statement from the network noted that Armytage’s role as the host of the series will allow her to bring her “Golden Touch” to the show.
The Golden Bachelor follows a single man who embarks on a journey to find love. With Sam by his side, he will guide him throughout his search for a partner who can share his life’s journey.
Armytage announced her departure from Seven in August. She had been a part of the company for over two decades. She had previously co-hosted the series “Sunrise” with David Koch.
She then took over the hosting role of the reality TV show “Farmer Wants A Wife” in early 2023.
She stated that her decision to leave the company was her own, and it was about her desire to feel fulfilled.
