According to the New York State Police, a woman, a nine-year-old child, and a five-month-old infant died after they went over the falls on Luna Island.
The incident happened on October 28.
The agency’s investigators learned that the three individuals, including a 29-year-old man named Chaianti Means, a nine-year-old boy named Roman Rossman, and a five-month-old baby named Mecca Means, crossed over a safety rail and went over the falls.
Although the incident has been ruled as intentional, the exact circumstances are still under investigation.
The agency’s investigators noted that the three individuals, who were from Niagara Falls, were not endangering the public.
The search and rescue efforts conducted by the local police agencies did not find them.
