The body of a teenage boy was discovered in Sydney on Saturday morning, and NSW Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
His body was found in the Wilton Park Rd area of Sydney’s southwest. It’s believed that he was a 15-year-old boy from Picton.
According to Tim Calman, a police officer, a concerned individual notified authorities about the boy’s welfare. The boy’s death is being treated as suspicious.
He said it’s not clear how he died. The road was closed as a result of the incident.
Calman noted that the police are looking into various lines of inquiry, and they believe that the incident might have been linked to a camping event that might have been held in the area.
A number of teenagers have been interviewed by the police.
Calman said that the police were speaking with a number of witnesses, and they were also conducting a canvass of the local area.
The officer noted that no particular person had been identified yet, and urged anyone with information to come forward.
