The search for MH370, which disappeared in 2014, will begin off Western Australia’s coast following a credible proposal. It was carrying 239 passengers and crew members when it went missing.
In March 2014, Malaysia’s transport minister said the country was in talks with a US-based company to search for MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean, which is about 15,000 square kilometers.
He noted that the proposal from Ocean Infinity was credible.
The details of the deal were presented to the government in a draft agreement.
The company’s proposal stated that it would not charge the government for the search if the debris of MH370 were not found.
If the debris of the missing plane is found, Ocean Infinity would be entitled to a $70 million payment from Malaysia. It was ten years ago today that Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared.
The plane was scheduled to take off from Kuala Lumpur for China. Paul Weeks, a Perth dad, was on board the plane. His wife Dancia continues to search for answers about the incident.
Danica opened up about the grief she felt following the loss of her husband earlier this year. She noted that she doesn’t have the right to grieve as she wants answers regarding the incident.
Families of those who went missing have been denied proper procedures.
The relatives of those who went onboard MH370 have been waiting for answers since the plane mysteriously disappeared ten years ago.
The new search effort could help them find some closure.
