The community rallied around Brook Wilson’s family after the 18-year-old died suddenly during a game of touch football.
He was supposed to play for the Woodend Rugby Club on November 5. Before the match started, he experienced a medical issue.
To support Wilson’s family, the club organized a quiz and raffle event. The event was held the day after he died.
Mark Paterson, the club’s president, said that the player died due to a medical issue. The community rallied around Wilson’s family.
The people of the community expressed their condolences to the Wilson family. They also thanked the people who helped the family during this difficult time.
According to Tony, the family was surprised by the support they received.
Scott, the acting principal of Kaiapoi High School, said that he was amazed by Wilson’s popularity.
He also praised the way the student and his friends supported one another during difficult times.
