A magnitude 4.2 earthquake hit a region in NSW, Australia, on Tuesday. It was felt by more than 300 people.
The epicenter was around 7 kilometers from Denman, which is in the Upper Hunter Region.
According to Geoscience, over 300 residents from the region reported feeling the earthquake.
The epicenter was around 1 kilometer deep.
On social media, one person reported that they felt the earthquake that occurred near Scone, about 50 kilometers away from Denman.
This was the second major earthquake that hit the area in less than two months.
On August 23, a magnitude 4.7 earthquake hit the region.
More than 3,000 reports of felt incidents were submitted across Sydney and Newcastle.
During the time of the incident, Hadi Ghasemi, a senior seismologist for Geoscience Australia, said that there have been over 150 seismic activities in the region in the last two decades.
He noted that although moderate earthquakes can occur in different areas across the continent, they usually strike in Australia once every two to three years.
