The eruptions resulted in the deaths of at least nine individuals and prompted the evacuation of around 11,000 people.
Due to the volcanic eruptions, several flights between Denpasar and Australia were canceled.
Lauren Bullen, an influencer based in Bali, noted that she had a crucial trip to Australia that had to be completed by Friday.
In her Instagram post, Ms Bullen asked for information about the flight cancellations in Bali. She noted that she had a very important trip to Australia that had to be completed by Friday.
Due to the high prices of tickets, she decided to wait and reassess her plans. The post was shared on an Instagram page that is dedicated to highlighting the work of influencers.
One of the users who criticized Ms Bullen’s post stated that the people in her country were dying due to the volcanic eruptions. She also noted that she was worried about her best friend’s hen party.
However, Ms Bullen responded by saying that she was only upset about missing her friend’s big weekend.
She noted that as a mother, she was still allowed to celebrate special occasions with her closest friends.
Several airlines in Australia, including Qantas, Jetstar, and Virgin, announced that they would be resuming their operations on Thursday.
A spokesperson for Qantas said that the company was closely monitoring the situation and was working on plans to provide additional flights for customers affected by the volcanic eruptions.
