A devastating car accident in Brisbane’s east has claimed the lives of two people, including a young toddler.
The crash, which occurred at the intersection of Rickertt Rd and Chelsea Rd in Ransome, has left the community in shock.
What Happened?
The accident involved a blue Holden Commodore and a red Mitsubishi Lancer, which collided just before 9am on Sunday.
The 37-year-old driver of the Holden, from Manly West, tragically died at the scene. A four-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the Holden, was rushed to the Queensland Children’s Hospital but sadly passed away later.
Investigation Underway
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 29-year-old man from Birkdale, suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The Forensic Crash Unit has launched an investigation into the accident and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
As the investigation continues, the community is coming to terms with the loss of two lives, including a young child.
