A high school teacher in Queensland has left parents scratching their heads with their unorthodox behavior in the classroom.
The teacher, who works at Marsden State High School in Logan City, has allegedly been referring to themselves as a cat and has even asked students to call them “Miss Purr”.
The Purr-fectly Bizarre Allegations
According to multiple parents, “Miss Purr” has been hissing at students, licking the back of their hands, and even making them “purr” for rewards.
Photos and videos have emerged showing the teacher wearing a cat ear headband and a lanyard with the word “purr” on it, leaving many to question their behaviour.
One relative claimed that the teacher “forces the children to call her Miss Purr and cat screeches and growls when they don’t listen”.
Parents React with Concern and Disgust
The allegations have sparked a heated debate on social media, with many parents expressing their concern and disgust. “She sits in class and licks her hands.
It’s absolutely disgusting. Something needs to be done about this,” one parent said.
Another mother alleged that the teacher “made” her daughter “purr” for a lolly, leaving many to wonder what’s going on in the classroom.
The School’s Response
News.com.au has reached out to Marsden State High School for comment, but so far, there’s been no response.
The relative who first spoke out about the teacher’s behavior said she was confused and expected the school to have received numerous complaints by now.
“I myself would like answers, it all could be innocent as I know a lot of kids can be overly dramatic,” she said.
What Do You Think?
The incident has left many questioning the teacher’s behavior and the school’s response.
