If you’re a regular shopper at Big W, you’ll want to be aware of some major changes to their “Change of Mind” returns scheme.
The retail giant has updated their policy to exclude certain items, and we’ve got the details.
What’s Changing?
From February 3, Big W will no longer accept returns for certain items, including:
Cosmetics with broken hygiene seals
Beauty products
Hosiery
Underwear (except bras)
Swimwear
Printer cartridges
Personalised printing materials
Bedding and accessories with open packaging
Tents, trampolines, and furniture with open packaging or used components
Why the Change?
The move is likely aimed at preventing the return of used or opened items, which can be resold or used by others.
Many social media users have welcomed the changes, saying it’s “common sense” and that they wouldn’t want to buy returned items that may have been used.
What’s Staying the Same?
Big W’s 90-day change of mind return policy remains in place for items that aren’t on the excluded list.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be in its original saleable condition, with all packaging and accessories included, and not have been worn or used. Perishable products must also not be expired.
Other Excluded Items
In addition to the items listed above, Big W will also not accept returns for:
Food items
Personalised items
Digital downloads
Prepaid cards or vouchers
Clearance items
Products purchased from BIG W Market, MyDeal, Everyday Market, Everyday Rewards Shop, and eBay
