The conspiracy surrounding Kate Middleton continues to get stronger as Instagram steps in to address some of the issues raised by the public.
After the royal family released a picture of the former Kate Middleton with her kids, many people pointed out the various imperfections in it.
It was also revealed that the daughter’s wrist had been digitally altered.
Many people started wondering if the photo was doctored or if it was just an artificial intelligence.
After the picture spread online, Instagram users were notified that a warning had been posted about an altered video or photo.
A more detailed message then appeared when they clicked on a link. The message explained that the image was reviewed by fact-checkers and that the same one was posted on another post.
Although independent fact-checkers stated that the image or photo may have been altered, they did not believe that it was intentionally shown out of context.
The Associated Press also ordered a kill notice to inform the public that the photo had been altered.
According to Reuters, the source of the photo might have intentionally manipulated it.
In response to the criticism, the Prince and the Princess of Wales’ Twitter account posted an apology for the confusion caused by the photo.
