Australian model Erin McNaught’s 8-month-old baby boy Obi is on the mend after undergoing emergency surgery to remove a large tumor from the right side of his brain.
Erin shared a health update on her Instagram, revealing that Obi was diagnosed with a large brain tumor just a few days prior to the surgery.
The Emotional Journey
Erin and her boyfriend Stace Cadet were by Obi’s side throughout the ordeal.
She recalled the emotional moment when she stood on the balcony, watching the sunrise, and sobbing uncontrollably, fearing it might be the last one they shared with their son.
But fortunately, Obi made it through the surgery, and the family was able to return to the balcony to watch the sunset together.
A Steep Recovery
Since the surgery, Obi has made a remarkable recovery, achieving more and more each day. Erin expressed her gratitude, saying, “For now, we are filled with joy, and happiness, and a deep sense of gratitude.”
The model also shared that she and Stace initially took Obi to the hospital in June when they noticed a rapid decline in his behavior, including problems with eating, sleeping, and keeping his head straight.

Celebrities Share Their Own Health Struggles
Erin’s update comes as several other celebrities have spoken out about their own health struggles.
From Suki Waterhouse’s hernia to Brian Austin Green’s perforated appendix, and Adam Devine’s long-term injury from a childhood accident, it’s clear that no one is immune to health issues.
